Pickatale Reading App - Books on the Box Competition (Partners Since 2021)
Since 2021, Baasit Siddiqui has enjoyed an exciting partnership with the Pickatale team and their creative Reading App, designed to ‘Unlock the Joy of Reading’. Together they have created an exciting competition called’ Books on the Box’, free for UK-based primary schools to enter. This exciting competition gives young people in UK primary schools to create a video trailer based on their favourite books. It blends traditional reading with digital literacy.
The competition aims to develop children’s love of reading and digital literacy skills. Teams of three are guided to create a video trailer of their favourite book on the Pickatale App. To find out more and sign up, click here…
As well as this, Baasit is working with Pickatale to create a series of books for children aged 5 to 7. The aim of these books is to inform children about exciting and different careers of the future. Watch this space as the partnership continues to grow.
QA - Cyber Explorers (Partners Since 2022)
Baasit Siddiqui has partnered with QA since 2022 to share the fantastic Cyber Explorers platform in UK-based Secondary schools.
Cyberexplorers is a free-to-use gamification platform designed to educate children aged 11 to 14 about the cyber security industry. Cyber explorers has a variety of missions which help children learn about Cyber careers and how to stay safe online.
As the use of digital technolgy develops in our personal and business lives, the threat to our personal and professional data has never been higher. There is also a giant skills gap where we need digitally savvy students for tomorrow’s jobs. Cyber Explorers is a fantastic platform to get young people engaged in the world of Cyber in an easy to access and fun way.

TES Institute - Education Consultant (Partners Since 2018)
Since 2018, Baasit Siddiqui has worked closely with the TES Institute team as an education consultant. This has involved him supporting the institute by tutoring unqualified teachers and helping them gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). As well as supporting the next generation of teachers, Baasit values this partnership as it helps him continually develop his teaching theory.
Baasit has worked as a Pathway Tutor on the Straight to Teaching programme and assessed candidates for QTS on the Assessment Only route. Baasit has also worked as an End Point Assessor under the Post Graduate Teacher Apprenticeship programme.
Baasit values the impact the Institute has in creating the teachers of tomorrow, and it allows him to develop his knowledge of up-to-date teaching strategies in the UK and Internationally. He has developed a strong knowledge of what makes good teaching in Primary, Secondary, College and SEND settings. Baasit looks forward to continuing to develop his knowledge as he has begun work as a tutor for International students in the iPGCE programme, which has a strong academic focus on critical thinking and pedagogy.
